Andre De Grasse Bio
Andre De Grasse is a Canadian sprinter born November 10, 1994, in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada. In his high school years, he was convinced by his friend that he should participate in one race where he finished second. That race was a turning point in his life because Olympic medalist Tony Sharpe was watching him. After being trained by Tony, Andre earned a full scholarship to attend college in Kansas. Two years later, he was pursued by the top track and field programs across the world. In 2014, he decided to attend the University of Southern California and won two bronze medals World Championship and two NCAA titles. In 2016, he won his first medal at the Olympic Games in Rio De Janeiro for a 100m race where he finished behind Justin Gatlin and Usain Bolt in third place. His second medal at the Olympics was in the 200m race where he finished second. He won three medals at the Olympic Games in Tokyo, where he won a gold medal for the first time in the 200m race.
