Bastian Schweinsteiger is a German footballer, born on August 1, 1984, in Kolbermoor, Bavaria, West Germany. He played as a midfielder in the German national football team from 2004 to 2016, scoring 24 goals for the nation. Schweinsteiger became a captain of the national team after former captain Philipp Lahm retired in 2014.
He was 18 years old when he made his debut for Bayern Munich in UEFA Champions League in 2002, scoring a goal for Markus Feulner within a few minutes of stepping onto the field.
Schweinsteiger has won 8 Bundesliga titles, 7 DFB-Pokal titles, 1 UEFA Champions League title, a UEFA Super Cup title for Bayern Munich, and a FIFA Club World Cup title for Germany.
