Lykke Li Bio

Lykke Li is a Swedish indie pop artist best known for her single “I Follow Rivers”, which has 69 million views on YouTube. Her breakthrough debut, “Youth Novels” was released in 2008 and followed up by “Wounded Rhymes” in 2011 and “I Never Learn” in 2014. All three original album were produced by Björn Yttling. In 2018 Li changed styles and came out with “so sad so sexy”, and a year later with follow up “still sad still sexy” in 2019.

Her debut EP, 2007’s “Little Bit”, was released with her own fledgling LL Recordings label. It was nominated for Best Video at the Swedish Grammy Awards. From there she signed with Atlantic, with whom she eventually released her first album, 2008’s “Youth Novels”. Her 2011 “Wounded Rhymes” was her most popular album to date. It made it into the U.S. Top 40 and was globally critically acclaimed, including hits like “Get Some,” “I Follow Rivers,” and “Youth Knows No Pain.”

In 2016 Li also joined Andrew Wyatt, Pontus Winnberg (Miike Snow), Björn Yttling (Peter Bjorn and John), and Jeff Bhasker in the Swedish-American supergroup Liv. They released a pair of singles in 2016 and two more in 2017. Born Li Lykke Timotej Zachrisson in Ystad, Sweden on March 18, 1986.
