Professional golfer, Michelle Wie West was born on 11th October 1989 in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA. She started her career at a young age and saw immense success from the beginning. At 10, she became the youngest qualifier for a USGA Championship. She was also the youngest player to qualify for an LPGA Tour Event and to win the US Women’s Amateur Public Links. She went pro in 2005 shortly after her sixteenth birthday. Given her track record as an amateur player she began her professional career with huge sponsors and significant publicity. She played her first professional event in 2005 at the LPGA Samsung World Championship. In 2014, she won her first and only major championship at the U.S Women’s Open. After her win and her second place finish at the Kraft Nabisco Championship in the same year, she was awarded the Rolex Annika Major Award. She was also named as one of ESPN’s Impact 25.
