Philip Rivers Bio

Philip Rivers, born as Philip Michael Rivers, on December 8, 1981, in Decatur, Alabama, is an American football quarterback, playing for the Los Angeles Chargers in the National Football League (NFL). He started playing football while attending middle school and proceeded to play all throughout high school and college. Philip Rivers played college football at North Carolina State. After graduating, he was drafted in the 2004 NFL Draft with the fourth overall pick by the New York Giants. Soon, the New York Giants traded Philip Rivers for the Los Angeles Chargers’ first overall pick, the quarterback Eli Manning. Since then, he had been playing for the Los Angeles Chargers and was named NFL Comeback Player of the Year in 2003.
