Yeah Yeah Yeahs Bio

The Yeah Yeah Yeahs is an American garage rock band formed by singer Karen O, guitarist Nicolas Zinner, and drummer Brian Chase in New York in 2000. The trio gained notoriety by touring as opening acts for The Strokes and The White Stripes. Their self-titled debut EP went out in 2001 and was produced by Jerry Teel. The band then started touring the U.S., the U.K., and Europe. In 2003 the band released its first full-length album “Fever To Tell”, which became a gold album in 2004. That same year, frontwoman Karen O moved to Los Angeles. After pursuing individual projects, the band reunited in 2006 to issue their second LP “Show Your Bones”, which was ranked as the number 11 on the album charts. In 2013 the band released their third album “Mosquito”, produced by David Sitek and Nick Launay, and featuring the talents of James Murphy and Kool Keith.
