Angie Thomas is an American novelist, screenwriter, and film producer best known for her young adult fiction literature. She was born in Jackson, Mississippi, United States, on September 20, 1988.
In 2017, Angie published her debut novel The Hate U Give in 2017, and the book debuted at #1 on the New York Times Best Seller list for young adult books. In 2018, the book was adapted into the crime-drama film The Hate U Give, which featured Amandla Stenberg, Regina Hall, Anthony Mackie, and Issa Rae.
Angie’s body of work now includes On the Come Up, Blackout, Concrete Rose, Whiteout, and Nic Blake and the Remarkables.
