Mirai Nagasu (born April 16, 1993 in Montebello, California, USA) is a figure skater. She became the first female figure-skater to land a triple axel at the Olympics during her team portion at the 2018 winter games. Additionally, she is a six-time US National Championships medalist, claiming the gold in 2008, silver in 2010 and 2018, bronze in 2011 and 2014, and pewter in 2016 and 2017.
In 2008, Nagasu became the youngest woman to win a U.S. senior ladies title since Olympic figure skater Tara Lipinski, who won the title in 1997. In 2014, Nagasu was placed fourth at the 2010 Winter Olympics and third at the 2014 U.S. Championships.
During the 2015-16 season, Nagasu was named as the first alternate for the 2016 Four Continents Championships and 2016 World Championships after winning the pewter medal at the 2016 US Championships.
