Chandler Jones is an American professional football player born in Rochester, New York on February 27, 1990. He is currently an outside linebacker for the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League. He played high school football at Union-Endicott High School. In 2007 he was the SuperPrep All-Northeast and PrepStar All-East Region selection and was ranked as the eighth best prospect in the state of New York. He went on to play college football at Syracuse from 2008 to 2011. In 2012 he entered the NFL draft and was selected by the New England Patriots in the first round, 21st overall, in the 2012 NFL Draft. He signed a four-year contract with the Patriots. While with the Patriots he became a Super Bowl champion when the Patriots beat the Seahawks 28-24 in Super Bowl XLIX in 2015. In 2016 he was traded to the Arizona Cardinals. He signed a five-year extension contract with the Cardinals for $82.5 million in 2016. Throughout his NFL career he has recorded 368 tackles, 77 sacks, 1 interception, 19 forced fumbles, 4 fumble recoveries, and 2 defensive touchdowns.
