Sarah Fredrika Sjöström is a Swedish professional swimmer who competes in butterfly, freestyle, and backstroke competitions. She was born in Salem, Sweden, on August 17, 1993.
Sarah burst onto the swimming scene in 2008 when she won gold in the 100m event at the European Aquatics Championships. She has since represented Sweden in numerous international swimming events and won several gold medals at the Long Course World Championships and the Short Course World Championships. Sarah won a silver medal in the 50-meter freestyle event at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, which also featured Emma McKeon, Pernille Blume, Ranomi Kromowidjojo, and Katarzyna Wasick.
