Clark Beckham is an American soul singer, born on May 15, 1992, in Nashville, Tennessee. He is best known for becoming a finalist on the 14th season of FOX’s American Idol. He is also a multi-instrumentalist, skilled in piano, guitar, and the drums. After graduating from Lee University, he traded the bustling streets of Nashville for the bright lights of Hollywood.
In 2015, after appearing in American Idol, Clark captivated millions across the globe and his live performances dominated the top 10 most-viewed videos on American Idol’s YouTube channel. In 2018, he released his first EP titled Year One, which debuted at number 6 on iTunes’ Alternative chart, and number 22 on Billboard’s R&B Sales chart. Since then, he has performed with the popular Nashville Symphony and opened up for famous artists like Allen Stone and Jon Bellion. In 2020, he released another EP titled Light Year infusing elements of R&B/Soul with pop melodies. He is inspired by musical icons like Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, Marvin Gaye, and Al Green.
