Lisa Marie Lampugnale, popularly known as Lisa Lampanelli, is a comedian, TV personality, and former writer born on July 19, 1961, in Trumbull, Connecticut, USA. The former newspaper and magazine writer started her comedy career at 30. Her genre was insult, improvisational, and observational comedy, touching on subjects like race relations, human sexuality, and everyday life.
Lisa is best known for Drillbit Taylor (2008), Delta Farce (2007), and several editions of Comedy Central Roast. Besides having several HBO & Comedy Central Specials, she was a cast member on NBC's Celebrity Apprentice, a regular on late-night television, and a frequent guest and guest host on Sirius XM satellite radio shows. She has been nominated twice for Grammy's Best Comedy Album for Dirty Girl and Back to the Drawing Board.
Her first play, Stuffed, premiered Off-Broadway in 2016 and again in 2017. Her podcast, Losers with a Dream, is released every Tuesday on iTunes, Spotify, and YouTube. She retired from stand-up comedy in late 2018 and dedicated her life to performing in storytelling shows. Her book, Chocolate, Please! My Adventures In Food Fat And Freaks, was published in 2009.
