Clare Victoria Balding, or just Clare Balding, is an English broadcaster, journalist, and author, born on January 29, 1971, in Kingsclere, United Kingdom. She graduated from Cambridge and became the face of BBC’s horse racing output in December 1997 when Julian Wilson retired. Since then, she has presented many events on television and radio, including multiple Olympic Games and Paralympic Games for BBC Sport, Channel 4, BT Sport. She is also a president of the Rugby Football League and a best-selling and award-winning author of numerous books and children’s novels.
For her coverage of the London Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2012, Clare won the BAFTA Special Award and RTS Presenter of the Year Award. She has also been a presenter of the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Award, won by Steve Davis.
