Beth Dover is an American actress born August 29, 1978, in Chicago. She is known for her comedic talent and improvisational approach that she brought to many of her entertaining roles. Dover's career began with 20 appearances on the comedy show Children's Hospital. In this parody of the stereotypical med-drama TV shows, Dover portrayed the character of Nurse Beth. Her next appearance was on the show Burning Love which was also a parody of everything cheesy about various dating shows. Dover's comedic capabilities brought her a series of roles in prominent TV comedies, mockumentaries, and sitcoms such as New Girl, Comedy Bang! Bang!, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and Dads. Dover's most recognized role is of Linda Ferguson on the Netflix show Orange Is the New Black. Dover also appeared in both Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp (2015) and Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later (2017), which were very successful. The installment mini-series had Dover play alongside Hollywood stars like Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Banks, Bradley Cooper, Amy Poehler, and Chris Pine.
