Brandon Jay McLaren is a Canadian actor, born October 15, 1980, in Vancouver, British Columbia. He is mostly known for his leading and supporting roles in television shows such as Graceland (2013-2015), Harper's Island (2009), and Slasher (2016-2017). Jay McLaren studied at the State University of New York on a soccer scholarship, as he was talented in multiple sports. His real breakthrough came in 2013 when he played the role of an undercover operative Dale Jakes in Graceland. The role won him the Best Actor Golden Maple Award. He appeared in movies as well, both in low-profile independent projects such as Plush (2013), but also in more noticed projects such as Tucker & Dale vs. Evil (2010) that won the audience over at Sundance Film Festival and became a horror-comedy classic. Jay McLaren appeared in the movie alongside Tyler Labine, Chelan Simmons, Alan Tudyk, Jesse Moss, and Katrina Bowden. The actor also contributed to the reboot of The Twilight Zone on CBS, playing alongside Joel McHale in the second season of the series.
