Christine Marie Evert, better known as Chris Evert, is an American retired professional tennis player and sports analyst who was once the world's No. 1 female tennis player during the 1970s and 1980s. She was born in Boca Raton, Florida, United States, on December 21, 1954.
Chris began her professional career in 1971 when she made her Grand Slam debut, and she went on to have an illustrious and extensive career that saw her play professionally for two decades and win several awards. She went on to win two Australian Opens, seven French Opens, six US Opens, and three Wimbledon Championships.
Since her retirement in 1989, Chris has been a recurring figure in the sports shows ESPN SportsCentury, Mike & Mike, and Wimbledon, which has also featured Andy Murray, Novak Djokovic, Serena Williams, and Roger Federer.
