India Martinez Bio
Jenifer Yésica Martínez Fernández, widely known as India Martínez, is a singer born in Córdoba, Spain, on October 13, 1985. She began singing at an early age, appearing on Veo, Veo, festivals, Peñas Flamencas, and competitions. She released her debut album, Azulejos de Lunares, in 2003. Her second album, Despertar, earned her a nomination for Best New Artist at the 2009 Latin Grammy Awards. It was her first gold-certified album.
India won the 2012 Premio Cadena Dial Award for her gold-certified album Trece Verdades. She has collaborated with Manuel Carrasco, David Bisbal, Ricardo Montaner, and Enrique Iglesias. In 2015, she won a Goya Award for contributing the song, Niño Sin Miedo to Roque Baños' soundtrack for El Niño.
India worked with David Santisteban and Riki Rivera on her 2016 album, Te Cuento un Secreto. She has appeared on El Hubiera No Existe, Franco De Vita Vuelve en Primera Fila, and Himno A La Alegría. In 2022, she released Nuestro Mundo.
