Anthony Edwards Bio
Anthony Edwards is an American basketball player who was born on August 5, 2001, in Atlanta, Georgia. He started playing when he was 10 years old after being influenced by his older brothers. His position is as the shooting guard. He became part of his high school team but because of his success, he was transferred to Holy Spirit Preparatory school. At the end of his senior year, he was rated as a five-star recruit receiving McDonald’s All- American and USA Today All-USA first team honors. He then went on to play for the Georgia Bulldogs, a basketball program of the University of Georgia, where he was coached by Tom Crean. He became the most skilled player to join the team and was rewarded with the SEC Freshman of the Year. In 2020 he was selected by the NBA team Minnesota Timberwolves to become their no. 1 overall pick.
