Amanda Perez Bio
Amanda Jane Perez (born May 24, 1980 in Fort Wayne, Indiana) is a Rhythm and blues and hip hop artist.
In 2001, she released her first single titled Never. Never peaked at number 79 on the Billboard Hot 100. In April 2002, Amanda released her first album titled Where You At?, under the independent label, Powerhouse Records. The album was a hit in the eastern part of the United States. It also brought the attention of Virgin Records, who signed her later that year and decided to release a reworked version of Where You At? nationally.
In 2003, the reworked version of the album, titled, Angel, was released. It peaked at number 73 on Billboard 200. The title single, Angel, peaked at number 20 on the Billboard Hot 100, hence becoming her first Top 20 single. In 2004, Perez released her third album titled, I Pray. The album peaked at number 90 on the Billboard 200. In 2007, Amanda released her fourth album titled The Hand of Fate. The album peaked at number 38 on the Billboard 200.
