Jarod is a French rapper. He grew up in the "cité des Orgues" in the Riquet neighborhood of the 19th arrondissement of Paris. He began his rap career around 2004, during which he met the group Sexion d'Assaut. Through them, he joined the Wati B label and formed his own group, L'Institut.
Jarod started gaining recognition with his freestyles from 2008. In early 2011, under the Wati B label, he released his first solo project titled "Feinte de frappe." After leaving Wati B the same year to pursue an independent career, he released a new street album on April 21, 2012, called "En attendant la frappe." His debut album, "Frappe préventive," was released independently on November 24, 2014.
On May 6, 2016, Jarod released his second solo album, "Caméléon," which remains his most significant success to date, with over 20,000 sales. The following year, he released a new project, "Attitude," in digital format, followed by "Test Micro" two years later in 2019. In 2020, Jarod released two mixtapes "New Attitude" and "Avant la guerre." 2021 was a prolific year for the rapper as he released three projects: "Ronin," "Clout," and "Grande Équipe."
