Bernice King American minister, attorney, and social activist best known for her work in the law community. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia, United States, on March 28, 1963.
Bernice received her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Spelman College, and later earned her law degree from Emory University School of Law. She then went on to practice law for several years before becoming a Baptist minister in 1998. As an advocate for social justice, King has worked on a variety of issues including poverty, nonviolence, and LGBT rights. She has also been a vocal opponent of police brutality and mass incarceration.
