Cugini Di Campagna Bio
Cugini di Campagna is a pop band formed in 1970 in Rome, Italy. The band was famous for their first hit single, “Il ballo di Peppe," released in 1970. The song was launched during the Alto Gradimento radio program. Additionally, they are famous for using falsetto. They also employ an eccentric look, a hybrid of glam and kitsch, giving them a unique outlook. The band received additional success in 1973 with their song "Anima Mia." The song experienced a string of commercial successes until the early eighties.
The band faced difficulties until 1997 when they resurfaced with a new lineup, courtesy of the "Anima Mia" program on RAI TV. The song “Anima mia” received worldwide attention and was covered by Anni-Frid Lyngstad of ABBA, Claudio Baglioni, Bobby Rydell, and Gianni Meccia. In 2023, the band participated in the Sanremo Music Festival 2023.
