Shin Koyamada is a Japanese-born actor, producer, and entrepreneur who was born on March 10th, 1982 in Okayama, Japan. He has a brother Jun, and their father worked at the Local Government in Okayama. Shin studied Martial Arts at the Northern Shaolin Martial Arts school. He later studied at the University of California, Riverside, and pursue an acting career afterward.
Shin is famous for starring as Nobutada in the 2003 hit film The Last Samurai. He starred with Tom Cruise in the movie and it earned nominations for several awards including four Academy Awards, three Golden Globe Awards, and two National Board of Review Awards. The other well-known movies he starred in includes Heart of the Dragon, Good Soil, and Wine Road of the Samurai.
