Born as Thomas Carlyle Ford, on August 27, 1961, in Austin, Texas, Tom Ford is a famous American filmmaker and fashion designer, and a Chairman of the Board of Fashion Designers of America. Tom Ford has worked as a creative director of Gucci and Saint Laurent before he founded his own luxury brand named Tom Ford label in 2006. He launched a line of menswear, beauty, eyewear, and accessories which helped his brand to grow its fame and success. In 2009, Tom Ford made his debut directional film named A Single Man, based on the same-named novel by Christopher Isherwood, which was later nominated for a Grammy Award. In 2015, he directed the well-known thriller film named Nocturnal Animals which also received a Grammy Award nomination.
