Marc E. Bassy is the stage name of the American singer and songwriter Marc Griffin. He was born in San Francisco, California on April 9, 1987. Griffin was the vocalist for the pop band 2AM Club. He started his music career in 2007 when he helped form the pop band 2AM Club. In 2013 the band released the mixtape Moon Tower and in 2010 they released their debut studio album What Did You Think Was Going to Happen?. The band was dropped by the label Sony/ATV and went on indefinite hiatus in 2015. In 2014 Marc released his debut solo mixtape Only the Poets, Vol. 1 and was signed to Universal Republic Records. He released his debut studio album in 2017 titled Gossip Columns with Republic. The album reached number 166 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart.
