Professor Brian Cox Bio

Brian Edward Cox was born in 1968 on March 3. He had his childhood in Oldham and was inspired to become a physicist after reading a book that inspired him at the age of twelve. After he got a low score in his A-level Mathematics, he tried to invest more of his time and efforts into practicing Mathematics.

Kevin is musically oriented and played in two pop bands in the late ’80s and ’90s. He pursued a science degree at 23 and graduated from the University of Manchester with a first-class degree in physics in 1998. In 2005, he started working as a particle physics professor at the University of Manchester.

 Kevin has featured on BBC television and radio in a lot of science-related programs.

He and Comedian Robin Ince are the presenters of “The Infinite Monkey Cage,” In 2010,  he presented a BBC television dual series program of five parts called “Wonders of the Solar System.
