Richard Herring Bio
Richard Keith Herring is an English stand-up comedian, ventriloquist, writer, and actor who became famous in the early ‘90s as one half of the comedic duo Lee and Herring alongside Stewart Lee. He was born in Pocklington, East Riding of Yorkshire, England, on July 12, 1967. Richard is the creator of the blog Warming Up, the online comedic show As It Occurs To Me, and the podcast Richard Herring's Edinburgh Fringe Podcast. He has been a writer on numerous TV shows including Time Gentleman Please which features Al Murray, Phil Daniels, Marc Bannerman, and Julia Sawalha. Richard won a Radio Academy Award for Best Comedy and numerous Chortle Awards for Legend of Lockdown and Internet Award. His filmography includes The Battersea and Peacock Season.
