Luke Paul Anthony Newton, popular as Luke Newton, is an actor born on February 5, 1993, in Brighton, United Kingdom. He made his television debut in 2010 as Luke Attwood in BBC 2's teen series The Cut (2009) for 11 episodes. From 2016 to 2017, he was featured in Disney Channel's The Lodge as Ben Evans. He featured on the two soundtrack albums while on The Lodge.
In 2018, he starred in the Syfy television film Lake Placid: Legacy as Billy. He was a guest star in episodes of Mr. Selfridge (as Richard Brackenbury) and BBC's soap opera Doctors (as Sam Hern). In 2014, he portrayed Michael in the short film Twist and Pulse's Halloween Thriller.
Before his leading role as Colin Bridgerton in the Netflix series Bridgerton in 2020, he starred as Ethan in the 2019 short film Youth in Bed. He has worked opposite Sophie Simnett, Lorraine Ashbourne, Jonathan Bailey, and Phoebe Dynevor. His role in Bridgerton earned him a nomination for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series in the Screen Actors Guild Awards (2021).
