Boaz Yakin is a filmmaker born on 20th June 1966, in New York City, United States. He is widely known for writing a number of films, including “Now You See” and “The Rookie.” He started his career as a writer with the action film “The Punisher” in 1989. A year later, he wrote the film “The Rookie,” which starred actors like Lara Flynn Boyle, Tom Skerritt, and Raul Julia. Yakin made his directorial debut in 1994 with the crime drama film “Fresh.”
In 1998, he wrote and directed the drama film “A Price Above Rubies,” starring Renee Zellweger. The following year, he wrote the horror film “From Dusk Till Dawn 2: Texas Blood Money”. In 2003, he directed and produced the comedy-drama film “Uptown Girls.” In 2008, he wrote, directed, and produced the psychological erotic thriller “Death in Love,” starring Jacqueline Bisset, Adam Brody, and Lukas Haas.
