Luke Ayling (born in Lambeth, London) is an English professional football player, most renowned for playing as a defender for Bristol City.
Ayling began his career at Arsenal joining the club at the age of 10. He was part of Arsenal youth team’s double-winning side of the 2008-2009 season, playing alongside Jack Wilshere. In July 2009, he signed his first professional contract with Arsenal. In March 2010, he was loaned out to Yeovil Town where he played four matches. At the end of the season, Ayling agreed a permanent deal with Yeovil Town after not receiving a new contract offer at Arsenal.
Ayling made his debut in a 2–1 victory over Leyton Orient. On May 19, 2013, Ayling played in the 2013 League One Play-off Final as Yeovil beat Brentford 2–1 to secure promotion to the Football League Championship. On July 8, 2014, Ayling signed a three-year deal with Bristol City. He played at the club till 2016 when he signed a deal with Leeds United.
