Diarrhea Planet Bio

Diarrhea Planet is an American garage punk band from Tennessee. Originally formed in 2009 in Nashville, the six-piece band is composed of Jordan Smith on vocals and guitar, Emmett Miller and Evan Bird on the guitar, Brent Toler on guitar and vocals, Mike Boyle on the bass and Ian Bush on the drums. Their first EP, ‘Aloha!’ was released in 2009 which preceded their signing to independent label Infinity Cat Recordings. The band did not release their full length album until 211 titled ‘Loose Jewels’ followed by ‘I’m Rich Beyond Your Wildest Dreams’ in 2013. The band went on to promote their album at festivals like Bonnaroo, Governor’s Ball Music Festival and SXSW. As the band began to grow a cult following, Diarrhea Plane released their third album, ‘Turn To Gold’ in 2016 and went on an a west coast tour in the U.S. to promote the album. Unfortunately, the band announced their breakup in 2018 and played their farewell shows in Nashville.
