Al Jardine Bio
Al Jardine is a singer and songwriter born on 3rd September 1942 in Lima, Ohio, United States. He is also the co-founder of the American rock band The Beach Boys. Jardine is a versatile instrumentalist who played stand-up bass in the band’s first recording titled “Surfin” in 1961. He was the lead vocalist for a number of singles, including “Help Me, Rhonda” in 1965, “Then I Kissed Her” in 1965, “Come Go with Me” in 1978, and others.
Jardine left the band after the passing of fellow band member Carl Wilson. He started his solo career from there. He has been touring extensively with other bands. He released his debut solo album, titled “A Postcard from California,” in 2010. Jardine is also an author, having published a book titled “Shop John B: A Pirate’s Tale” in 2005.
