Amy Lou Adams is an American actress who was born in Vicenza, Italy, where her father was stationed at a military base. After her father’s tour was over, they moved back to the states, where Amy sang in the high school choir and studied dance as an apprentice with a local dance company. Her breakthrough role was in the late 1990’s film Drop Dead Gorgeous. Amy has also played parts in the films Catch Me If You Can (2002), Junebug (2005), Enchanted (2007), Doubt (2008), Julia & Julia (2009), Night At The Museum: Battle of The Smithsonian (2009), and the Muppets (2011).
Amy Adams has been nominated for a slew of awards, and has won a few. Her wins include a 2015 Golden Globe award for ‘Best Performance By An Actress In A Motion Picture, Comedy or Musical’ for her role in Big Eyes, and a second Golden Globe for the same category in 2014 for her role in American Hustle.
