Butthole Surfers Bio
Butthole Surfers is a San Antonio, Texas-based rock band founded in 1981 by singer Gibby Haynes with guitarists Paul Leary and Jonathan Grisham.
The band's basic lineup of Haynes, Leary, and drummer King Coffey has been steady since 1983, despite various personnel changes. From 1983 to 1985, 1986 to 1989, and 2009, Teresa Nervosa was the second drummer.
The band has also used a number of bass musicians, the most notable of them is Jeff Pinkus.
