Dwayne Haskins (also known as Simba) is an American professional football player who was born on May 3rd, 1997 in Highland Park, New Jersey, United States. His father is Dwayne Haskins Sr. and his mother Tamia Haskins. He attended high school at the Bullis School and college at Ohio State University. He grew up a New York Giants fan. In Dwayne’s sophomore year, he threw 50 touchdowns making it into the list of the 7 quarterbacks to achieve that milestone in one NCCA season. Dwayne was drafted for the NFL in 2019 at the fifteenth overall pick and debuted in the same year for the Washington Redskins. He left the Redskins and signed for the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2021 where he currently plays. Dwayne has won numerous Big Ten player awards and also finished as a Maxwell Award and Heisman Trophy finalist. He was voted MVP of the 2018 Big Ten Football Championship Game and 2019 Rose Bowl.
