Aymeric Jean Louis Gérard Alphonse Laporte, widely known as Aymeric Laporte, is a professional soccer player born in Agen, France, on May 27, 1994. The center-back spent his youth career at SU Agen (2000–2009), Bayonne (2009–2010), and Athletic Bilbao (2010–2011). He made his professional debut for CD Basconia in 2011, playing 33 matches and scoring two goals.
Aymeric played eight games with the Athletic Bilbao B team before making his first team debut in 2012. He won the 2015 Supercopa de España with the team. He made the 2013/14 La Liga's Team of the Year. Aymeric played with the France U17, U18, U19, and U21 teams.
Aymeric joined Manchester City in January 2018. He has won four Premier League, one FA Cup, three EFL Cups, and one FA Community Shield with them. He represented the Spanish national team at the 2020/21 UEFA Nations League. With France, Aymeric won the 2013 UEFA European Under-19 Championship Team of the Tournament and the 2018/19 PFA Team of the Year with Manchester City. He is the CEO of AYM Esports.
