Finntroll Bio
Finntroll is a Helsinki-based Finnish metal band that combines elements of black metal and folk metal. The lyrics of Finntroll are largely in Swedish, with the exception of "Madon Laulu" from Visor om slutet.
Katla, Finntroll's original singer, chose Swedish over Finnish because he was part of a Swedish-speaking minority in Finland and the tone of the language appeared to complement the band's "trollish" attire. This practice has maintained despite multiple vocalist changes.
