Jaylon Smith is an American professional football player who plays as a middle linebacker in the NFL. He was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, United States, on June 14, 1995. Jaylon spent his formative years playing for Bishop Luers High School and the University of Notre Dame, and he turned professional in 2016 when he was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the second round of the NFL Draft. He went on to represent the Green Bay Packers and New York Giants, and throughout his time with the Dallas Cowboys, Jaylon played alongside Tony Pollard, Ezekiel Elliott, Dak Prescott, Isaac Alarcon, and Dalton Schulz. His career highlights include Pro Bowl, First-team All-Independent, Consensus All-American, College Dick Butkus Award, and Second-team All-American.
