Ranveer Singh Bio

Ranveer Singh is an Indian actor, born on the 6th of July, 1985, in Bombay, Maharashtra, India. He started his acting career in 2010 co-starring with Anushka Sharma the romantic comedy “Band Baaja Baaraat”. It was very well received by the public and Singh won the award for Best Male Debut At the 56th Filmfare Awards. His carer took off and he kept busy acting in more than 18 movies, among which “Bombay Talkies”, “Lootera”, “Gunday” and many others. He was nominated in 2014 at the Filmfare Award for Best Actor, for his work in the movie “Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela”. In 2018 Singh acted as Alauddin Khilji, in the period drama “Padmaavat”, co-starring Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor. This movie is estimated to be the most expensive Hindi film ever, with a production budget of 28 million USD. It was a huge success and Singh won the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actor. In 2019, he played in the musical “Gully Boy” alongside Zoya Akhtar and got very high praises from critics. The movie also won a record 13 Filmfare Awards, and Singh received his second Best Actor award.
