Blackhawk is an American country band that is known for its strong vocal harmonies and unique guitar integration. The band was formed in 1992 by Henry Paul on the acoustic guitar, mandolin, and lead vocals, Van Stephenson on the electric guitar and accompanying vocals, and Dave Robbins on the keyboard and background vocals. Blackhawk became a staple in the country music scene with hit singles like Goodbye Says It All, I’m Not Strong Enough to Say No, Every Once in a While, and I Sure Can Smell the Rain. Their debut eponymous album Blackhawk was certified double platinum, and they were nominated for Best New Vocal Group of The Year at the ACM awards. Since the passing of Van Stephenson, the band performs as a duo with the other two founding members.
