Jerry Douglas Bio

Gerald Calvin Douglas, better known as Jerry Douglas, is an award-winning American guitarist and composer best known for performing with resonator guitars and lap steel guitars. He was born in Warren, Ohio, United States, on May 28, 1956. His discography includes the hit singles Mississippi Phone Booth, The Boxer featuring Mumford & Sons and Paul Simon, Gone to Fortingall/ Wired to the Moon, All the Lilacs in Ohio, and the albums Traveler, The Best Kept Secret, and Leftover Feelings.

For decades, Jerry has recorded numerous albums called the Transatlantic Sessions with violinist Aly Bain. Throughout his musical career, he has won multiple Grammy Awards for Best Country Instrumental Performance, Best Bluegrass Album, Best Country Performance by A Duo or Group with Vocal, and Album of The Year.
