Cheyo Carrillo, born Xavier Carrillo in Los Angeles, California in 1998 is an American singer and songwriter specializing in the genre of Mexican banda-style pop music. He began attending numerous banda shows with his parents and began to learn to sing at the age of 3. He learned to play the accordion by the age of 8 and began performing on stage. By the age of 13 he had already gone on tour with both Buknas de Culiacan and Alfredo Rios el Komander. During his tour with Rios he was scouted by the producers Adolfo and Omar Valenzuela. The two producers quickly signed Cheyo to the Los Twins Valenzuela label. In 2014 Cheyo released his debut album called Cheyo Carrillo. The album spawned the singles “Huele a Aventura” and “Como Pudiste.” In 2016 Cheyo released a new single called “Es Normal.”
