The famous golfer Jhonattan Vegas was born in Venezuela on August 19, 1984. After winning the 2011 competition in Banff, Alberta, Vegas finished second behind Paul Casey in the annual Telus World Skins Game in Halifax, Nova Scotia, in July 2012. At the Preferred Health Systems Wichita Open in 2010, Vegas claimed victory in his maiden Nationwide Tour event. He received his 2011 PGA Tour card, becoming the first Venezuelan to do so, and ended the season in seventh place on the money list. Three events missed cuts in Vegas to start 2013. Due to shoulder surgery, he missed the last several months of the 2013 campaign. Through the Web.com Tour Finals, Vegas sought to reclaim his PGA Tour credentials; however, he was unsuccessful and began the 2013–14 season on a Medical Extension. He finished in the top three in the John Deere Classic to fulfill his medical extension.
