Reel Big Fish Bio
Reel Big Fish is a ska-punk band formed in 1991 in Los Alamitos, California. It originally consisted of vocalist/guitarist Aaron Barrett, bassist Matt Wong, and drummer Andrew Gonzales, who eventually recruited a horn section comprising trumpet players Tavis Werts and Scott Klopfenstein, and trombone players Grant Barry and Dan Regan. The band independently released its debut “Everything Sucks” in 1995, followed shortly after by “Turn the Radio Off” with Mojo Records. By 1997 the band started getting media exposure, and they also released “Why Do They Rock So Hard”, their third LP. Reel Big Fish then moved to the label Zomba and issued “Cheer Up!” in 2002, following up with a national tour sharing the stage with acts like Sum 41. Some lineup changes ensued and the band released a live album. In 2009 they released “Fame, Fortune and Fornication”, followed in 2014 by “Candy Coated Fury”, and four years later by “Life Sucks...Let's Dance!”
