Condoleezza Rice Bio
Condoleezza Rice is an American political scientist, politician, and diplomat for in Birmingham, Alabama on November 14, 1954. Affiliated with the Republican Party, she served under President George W. Bush as the 66th United States Secretary of State. Rice was the first African American woman to hold this title and the second African American person. In 2001 she was President Bush’s National Security Advisor, the first black woman to serve in that position as well. She has received numerous Honorary degrees over the course of her lifetime from schools like, University of Notre Dame, Boston College, University of Alabama, and many more. She has also written several books, including Germany Unified and Europe Transformed, The Gorbachev Era, Uncertain Allegiance:The Soviet Union, and Czechoslovak Army. She is best known for her Transformational Diplomacy, the mission to build and sustain democratic countries around the world, especially in the Middle East.
