Glenn Lee Beck was born on February 10, 1964 in Everett, Washington. After high school, he moved to Washington D.C. for a job at the WPGC radio station. Through the 1980s and 1990s Beck moved around the country from one station to another, continuously gaining fame and publicity with his practical jokes and stunts.
In 2000, the first airing of the Glenn Beck Program was aired on the radio in Florida. The show moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania after it was successful when launched nationwide. Over the next eight years, the show became even more popular with over six and a half million listeners across 280 stations as well as XM radio.
In 2006, Beck started to host a nightly show call Glenn Beck on CNN, which would eventually win him the Marconi Radio Award for Network Syndicated Personality of the Year in 2008. In 2011, he launched his network TheBlaze Worldwide. Glenn Beck is best known for his political commentary and programs.
