Helix is a rock band from Ontario, Canada. The band was formed in 1974 by drummer Bruce Arnold. The band’s lineup includes Brian Vollmer (vocalist), Ron Watson (guitarist), Rick Trembley (guitarist), Don Simmons (keyboardist), and Keith Zurbrigg (bassist). The band has seen several changes in its lineup over the years, with Vollmer being the only constant group member. Helix signed with the Capitol label and released their first album, titled “No Rest for the Wicked.” In 2004, Vollmer put together a new lineup after 11 years and released “Rickin’ in My Space.” They continued to tour and record with their lead singer Vollmer. In 2014, the band released a new album titled “Bastard of the Blues.” The album consisted of old tapes and new performances and was dedicated to Paul Hackman, who passed away.
