High Contrast is the stage name of Welsh electronic music DJ and producer Lincoln Barrett. Barret was born on the 18th of September, 1979, in Penarth, Wales. He began making music in his teenage years, and by age 19 he was hired for a residency at Cardiff, a local trendy club. During that residency, Barret got to perform alongside artists such as London Elektricity. In 2002, he released his debut album “True Colours”, on the label Hospital Records. It included two hits, “Global Love” and “Return Forever” which both made it into the UK Singles Chart. He released his second album two years later, under the title “High Society”. From 2004 to 2017, he released six more albums, four compilation albums and more than thirty singles, featuring collaborations with artists such as Clare Maguire, and Selah Corbin. He has played at major music festivals such as Coachella.
