Juana Molina is a singer and songwriter born on the 1st of October 1961 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She is widely recognized for her unique sound, which basically blends neofolk, indie pop, progressive folk, indietronica, experimental, ambient, and chill-out. Before becoming a musician, she worked in television, where she had her own show called Juana sus Hermanus. She released her debut album, titled “Rara” in 1996. Her second album “Segundo” was released in 2000.
In 2002, she released her three-album, titled “STres coas”. Molina also released the albums “Son” in 2006, “Un dia” in 2008, “Wed 21” in 2013, “Fofun EP” in 2019, and “ANRMAL (Live in Mexico)” in 2020. Despite being almost unknown in his home country, his music was very popular in Japan and Europe. Many musical artists, including American singer David Byrne, were particularly impressed by “Segundo”. She contacted Molina and requested her to become part of the opening act of the American tour.
