Shane Carwin Bio
Shane Bannister Carwin is an American mixed martial artist best known for his time as a heavyweight under the UFC with whom he became the UFC Heavyweight Champion. He was born in Greeley, Colorado, United States, on January 4, 1975. Shane began his professional career in 2005 when he fought against Carlton Jones at WEC 17 – Halloween Fury 4. He began his UFC career in 2008 when he fought against Christian Wellisch, and he won the heavyweight title in 2010 when he defeated Frank Mir by TKO. Throughout his UFC career, Shane also fought against Brock Lesnar, Junior Dos Santos, and Gabriel Gonzaga.
